THE Tories may have said no to funding free school meals for the needy over half term.

But take a look at what the community has done in Old Town this week.

An amazing 463 free packed lunches to kids in Old Town over the last five days.

That is just brilliant.

St Elisabeth’s, Eastbourne has just posted: “463 free packed lunches to kids in Old Town this week. (+ 52 to Warming up the Homeless and 33 to Matthew 25)

To everyone who pulled together to make it happen, thank you.

I don’t think my heart has ever been warmed so much as it has this past week.

Incredible generosity of time, money and supplies to feed those who would have otherwise struggled this half term.

Very proud to be part of such an amazing community.”
