Residents in Polegate are gearing up for a twin celebration event. Plans are being made for an afternoon of celebrations to honour the Queen’s platinum jubilee and the Polegate residents’ association 50th anniversary.

Dan Dunbar, chairman of the residents’ association, said: “This year marks our 50th anniversary of bringing residents together and representing them on the local council. My committee members are working hard to mark our milestone alongside the Queen’s platinum jubilee”.

The event is due to be held on Friday 3rd June at the Polegate community centre from 13:00. The afternoon of entertainment will see music from Stephen Dunnett, light refreshments and a specially commission cake. Booking is required and can be done at the next association’s coffee morning at Polegate free church hall, Victoria road, Tuesday 3rd May at 10:00.
