A woman says she was ‘intimidated and bullied’ into paying scammers a big deposit.

I didn’t have that number and I have just been scammed by a rogue locksmith company.
I felt very intimidated and bullied into paying them a big deposit, the price of the work kept going up and up with lies about how much things cost.
I cancelled them coming back to finish the work.
Stuart from Eastbourne locksmiths came out straight away to help me when I explained what had happened. I’m not the only one to get caught out in this area, as they advertise with a local address and phone number.
I feel foolish, but not knowing the price of door lock parts, I felt I couldn’t argue and get him to stop and leave my home, even though I wanted him to.
I would hate for anyone else to go through this. So have a locksmith number saved somewhere, you never know when you will need them.”
