Are Eastbourne’s needy being helped?

That is the question Dean Martin, of Burwash Close, has posed:

“We are disabled, vulnerable, diabetic, like a lot of people struggling iwith covid / cost of living.

Our freezer went down yesterday and we lost £100-£150 of food  – the freezer has a extended warranty but they cannot come out until Monday

I have contacted  Eastbourne Bourgh Council and Adult Social Care for support, and the council said go to the food bank, although we are diabetic.

This is the 3rd time the freezer has gone down, I thought the council was suppose to give support in covid but it does not seem that way ..  and yet the government says it supports us?”
