Guests are welcome to attend the Anderida Writers meeting this Tuesday, November 9th, at the Hydro Hotel, Eastbourne, starting at 7.30pm, which will kick off with a short, very funny presentation of THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES.
The rest of the meeting, will be devoted to members and guests reading out extracts of their work, up to 600 words. Those attending can do likewise, or just sit back and listen – and give feedback if they wish.
Prize winners in the recent Anderida annual Short Story and Poetry competition will be invited to read out one of their entries. They may also like to bring along copies of these entries for members to take away if they wish.
The meeting is to be held in the Hydro’s Meads Room on the ground floor.
Chairman Tony Flood says: “It should be a fun evening. Could those who have booked for the Anderida Christmas Lunch on Tuesday, December 14th (12.30 for 1pm) in the Hydro Hotel’s Orangery restaurant please bring along their lunch fee of £25 if they have not already done so, and give it to the treasurer Francis Wait this Tuesday.
“There is still time for those who have not booked for the lunch to do so now by emailing me at flood04@yahoo.co.uk and either giving Francis Wait the lunch fee or posting a cheque to him, made payable to Anderida Writers at £25 per person, at Flat 30 Lakeside Court, 35 Dallington Road, Hampden Park, Eastbourne, BN22 9EJ in the next seven days.
“Please note that, due to the Christmas lunch taking place on December 14th, there will NOT be an evening meeting of Anderida Writers in December.”
