Quiz contestants across Sussex are being urged to get their thinking caps on for four weeks of March madness.

The Friends of Sussex Hospices are going online again with another month-long series of their hugely-popular mind games.

As before, the four March quizzes are being endorsed by one of the UK’s most popular and best-known TV quiz hosts, Alexander Armstrong, presenter of the BBC’s “Pointless”.

He said: “I am delighted to endorse the Mega March Hospice Quiz 2022 online. Hospices do such wonderful work for their local communities.

“As we all know, hospices rely on their communities for financial support so please join the Mega March Hospice Quiz 2022 online from the comfort of your home. Have fun and remember there is nothing Pointless about hospice care.”

There will be four online quizzes at weekly intervals throughout March. Each quiz will be made up of 22 questions that have to be answered within a 20-minute slot.

There will be a weekly winner and an overall champion for the four-week programme. There is no registration fee but participants will be encouraged to make a donation at the time of registering. They can select the hospice of their choice when they sign up, or choose Friends of Sussex Hospices charity.

Quizzers can register as individuals, in pairs, or as a family. Details of how to enter are available at www.friendsofsussexhospices.org.uk/mmhq-online/ All winners will be announced – along with full answers – at 11am on Tuesday, April 5, on the same website.

Event lead Robert Griffiths said: “We are absolutely delighted that Alexander Armstrong continues to endorse our Mega March Hospice Quiz.

“Last year’s month of madness proved very popular, with more than £10,000 raised. We hope that having our quiz online this year will provide enjoyment for everybody and particularly for those who are still spending time at home.

‘Sussex hospices are providing vital care to our communities in these challenging times and continue to need public support.”
