Claire Graves, an Eastbourne Art teacher and Embroidery Artist, is raising money for Stop Hate UK with this amazing embroidery of our Gareth.

The charity is one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of Hate Crime and discrimination,

It was after enjoying the England Italy match on Sunday then witnessing the players’ abuse that compelled her to do so.

Claire said: “‘I am saddened by the blame tactics of” if only they did this and if only Gareth had done this.

“They did amazing and should be so proud of their achievements – they got to a final which is amazing!’

’”I have no time for racism – this has to stop. People need to be punished because cruel words are forever damaging.

‘I have decided to raise money for the @stop_hate_uk by asking people to DM on my facebook and Instagram accounts.”

Claire has created a beautiful embroidery of our beloved England football manager wearing his famous waistcoat. It opens up to reveal a quote from the Gareth Southgate.

She said: “Yesterday I woke up with a raging hangover! I decided I wanted to embroider Gareth on my t shirt and the idea then came to add the 3d waistcoat and shirt I had from a charity shop.

“I’ve also added a very apt quote I found from Gareth’s social media:

’’I’m determined to give everything I have to give the country a team they’re proud of and one that they’re going to enjoy watching play and develop.’’

ALL monies received will go to this amazing charity to help individuals who are suffering from hate crime.

Bidding will end on at Midnight on the 15th July  and will include postage – of course happy bidding . No matter how small the bid they all count so don’t hesitate.”
