PEOPLE in Eastbourne have been taking to social media in the past few minutes now we are going into Tier 2.

Bus Driver Ashley Bark said: “It needed to happen. As a bus driver I can tell you that it’s not being taken seriously enough.

A wake up call is needed. Current lockdown is just as busy as normal. Tesco was busy earlier. Problem I’ve found is no one listens now. Earlier lockdown, everyone complied, now it’s…..well you get the idea.”

Kay Warner has called it: “Most unwelcome news for a town like Eastbourne with so much invested in the hospitality industry.”

Heidi Emery said: “Not the news the town wanted but we must strive and continue to follow the guidance together to get our numbers down, so we can keep opening up our economy! Feel for our hospitality trade!”
