CityFibre has repaired damaged grass verges in Hampden Park after the area’s new borough councillor stepped in.

Here’s councillor Josh Babarinde: “After I met with CityFibre two weeks ago to highlight the unacceptable state of Lottbridge Drive’s grass verges after their works, and securing a commitment from CityFibre to sort the rubble left on them etc, I’m pleased to report that significant progress has been made.

The pebbles and chalky rubble have been cleared this week, the verges have been top-soiled and grass seeds have been planted.

In the next few weeks, the grass should begin to grow again and our verges will be well on their way to restoration!

Thank you Adrian and team at CityFibre for taking our concerns seriously and for acting on them.

If you’re concerned about any of the local CityFibre works, you can flag them with their support team here: 0800 083 6160.

Alternatively, drop me an email on councillor.babarinde@eastbourne.gov.uk (flagging things via FB comments is tricky as they often get lost so please do send an email!).”
