Whilst we head cautiously into 2022 with Covid still lingering we would like to reassure you that we are still working within current Guidelines and taking extra precautions where necessary especially when working in private properties and other occupied buildings.

We wanted to look back at 2021 with positivity and share some of our good news with you all. In April we won our 12th Gold Award in a row from the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) at their annual Safety in Roofing Awards. The scheme aims to promote health and safety amongst member companies and recognises those that have taken positive steps to reduce accidents and implement a safety culture throughout their business.

We were winners at the Sussex Heritage Awards for our substantial roofing and restoration work at a Farmhouse near Newhaven and a property near Alfriston. The works to the Farmhouse were carried out using traditional materials and heritage techniques, ensuring that the works were sympathetic to the age, status and character of the property which is located within a conservation area. The Sussex Heritage Trust Awards are designed to recognise and reward the highest quality conservation, restoration and good design of newly built projects while encouraging the use of traditional skills and crafts.

Moving onto November we had double success! Firstly, our Farmhouse project won the UK National Tiling Award and our Health & Safety Adviser, Ian Pickard, picked up the Individual Health & Safety Award for his strong and positive impact on Health & Safety and Wellbeing. Both awards were presented at a glittering awards ceremony in London hosted by the NFRC.

Clarke Roofing was formed in 1949 and has expanded greatly over the last few years by extending our roofing and building divisions with most trades based in-house and employing a number of management trainees and apprentices from the local area.

We have a dedicated small works team for repairs ranging from leaking gutters, broken and missing tile replacement, valley renewals and storm damage and much more. Our teams are currently working on sites in Portsmouth, Dover, Brighton, Lewes and London as well as numerous local roofing and construction projects in our home town of Eastbourne.
