On Saturday 30th October members of Concord BNI undertook a 10k walk in the rain and wind to raise funds for Chaseley’s 75th Anniversary Appeal and raised a wonderful £510.
In addition to the money raised through their sponsored walk, Concord won the inter-chapter challenge at the BNI Sussex mid-term awards last month, subsequently ‘winning’ a £700 donation to Chaseley. Well done to everyone in the Concord chapter for your hard work and efforts to win Chaseley this wonderful prize that will also go towards the 75th Anniversary Appeal.
BNI’s sole aim is to help businesses and individuals to grow and this is done through Business Networking that helps to grow confidence and bring new contacts through trusted referrals.
Givers Gain is the core principle of BNI and each chapter further supports this philosophy by inviting a local charity to have free membership for one year. During this year, members support the charity in a variety of ways, such as, fundraising, hosting events, referrals and charity discounts. Jodie Cornford, Fundraising Manager at Chaseley shares with us “We feel very lucky to be the Concord chapter’s chosen charity and we really have appreciated their support so far. They are a great group of people who are all really passionate about supporting local businesses and charities alike. If anyone is interested in learning more about what the chapter does then do get in touch and I will organise for you to join us at one of our meetings.”
