In the last 12 months the Crane & Co Community Support Fund has been able to donate over £40,000 to LOCAL charities and good causes in Eastbourne and Hailsham.
It’s been quite a challenging time for us all over the last 18 months and while the property market has been booming (who knew that would be happening in a pandemic!) we’ve been very aware that at the same time local charities, support groups and good causes have struggled to raise funding.
It’s been a delight to us all at Crane & Co to be able to make a difference in any way we can whether it’s purchasing laptop computers for local schools, supporting local community clubs and local charities financially or simply helping charities and good causes get their messages out to the community. While markets boom, what could be better than turning that activity into help those who need us most.
So, THANK YOU to all our wonderful clients who entrust our team with the sale of your home which directly helps make our community support possible. Without you we couldn’t do it!
St Wilfrid’s Hospice – Ruby Anniversary
Over the past 40 years St Wilfrid’s has grown from small beginnings to the point where they are supporting over 2,200 people each year in the community, through the Inpatient Unit and through the wellbeing and carers support.
We hope that, with your help, we can continue to contribute to the funds that they need to keep going for the next 40 years, helping people in our community to live well until the end of their lives.
STOP PRESS. Watch out for ‘Paint the town red’ on October 29th in celebration and support of the 40th anniversary of St Wilfrids Hospice
You Raise Me Up
The ‘You Raise Me Up charity’ in Polegate was founded by the late Jane Brooks and her husband Fraser in June 2011. The charity’s sole purpose is to support families that have suffered the loss of a young person aged 16-25 years.
In the last 10 years the charity has grown from being run by an amazing group of people in their conservatory to a dedicated team that runs a support centre and office.
Please do look at their website where there are details of how you can help, get involved and find out more about this wonderful local charity. www.youraisemeup.co.uk
Hailsham Cricket Juniors – ‘They’ve only gone and won it!’
Community Champions is certainly a perfect description for all the ‘grown ups’ who run and organise Hailsham Cricket Club Juniors. This year is a very special year for the club who have had an astonishing year and we’d like to make a special mention here of the under 13’s Girls team who have been invincible this year winning the Susses Junior Cricket Festival and the League County Final – in our view nothing less than this amazing group of young players and organisers deserve.
Congratulations to the team – Sophie Wise, Sophie Beck, Maisie Harris, Etta Stubbings, Georgia Laloo, Connie Filtness, Molly Crosbie, Alice King and Romilly Smith.
