THE message from the DGH is clear – get both doses of the vaccine.
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Medical Director, Dr David Walker is urging local people to continue working together to keep Covid infection rates low.
The Trust covers the DGH, and he is urging us all to test regularly with lateral flow tests, or a PCR test if you have symptoms, and get both doses of the Covid vaccine.
He said: “We are urging anyone over 18 to have both doses of their vaccine as soon as possible.
If you are due your second and it is eight weeks since your first vaccination, please come forward and make sure you have the highest level of protection.
We are also encouraging the public to continue to play their part in keeping themselves and others safe, and supporting the NHS this summer.
THE KEY MESSAGES WE ARE ASKING THE PUBLIC ARE:
Continue to behave with caution – COVID has not gone away, do everything you can to keep yourself and your loved ones safe
Get your vaccine – anyone over 18 should have both doses of their vaccine as soon as possible.Use NHS services responsibly – all NHS services are extremely busy, make sure you are using the right service at the right time.”
