The songs of music legends Bob Marley and Lionel Ritchie are just two of the tribute shows at Eastbourne Bandstand this month (September).

As autumn approaches, the bandstand has a packed programme of tribute bands, proms, fireworks and traditional band music.

The weekend entertainment starts on Friday 24 September with True Gold’s Spandau Ballet Tribute Show.

True Gold is the ‘official’ Spandau Ballet tribute band having received praise from none other than Spandau’s very own Gary Kemp, Steve Norman and Tony Hadley.

Revellers can dance the night away to all the band’s greatest hits.

On Saturday 25 September Trenchtown Experience will recreate the sounds of Bob Marley at the seafront venue.

Bob Marley left a great musical legacy with tunes like I Shot The Sheriff, No Woman No Cry, Get Up Stand Up, Could You Be Loved, Is This Love, Jammin’, Lively Up Yourself, One Love, Redemption Song, Three Little Birds and Waiting In Vain.

Trenchtown Experience authentically perform all the great man’s legendary hits.

Sunday 26 September it’s the turn of the Lionel Richie Tribute Show presented by Hamilton Browne.

Hamilton is without doubt the Number 1 ‘Lionel Richie Tribute’ around today with his uncanny resemblance to one of the most resilient Legends of Motown.

Lionel Richie prompted the BBC to invite Hamilton to guest alongside Lionel himself on the Graham Norton Show.

All Night Long, Hello, Easy, Running With The Night and Dancing On The Ceiling are just a few of the songs the audience can expect.

Tribute tickets cost £8.95 for adult in advance (child £6.95) and doors open at for 8pm performances.  Friends of Eastbourne Bandstand cardholders receive 10% off most ticket prices.

In addition to the three nights of tribute bands, the Bandstand will play host to the traditional 1812 Fireworks and Proms Night with the Crawley Millennium Band on the evening of Wednesday September 22.

And on Sunday September 26 the Traditional Afternoon of music is led by Eastbourne Silver Band from 3pm.
