THESE are some of the kind donations made to an Eastbourne family who lost everything in a house fire on Thursday evening.

The family of five are devastated after the blaze in Maywood Avenue, Hampden Park.

An appeal was made for donations.

Willingdon Trees Community Centre has now posted on its Facebook page: “Wow – what an absolutely fantastic community we have here in Willingdon Trees!

These are just some of the donations made to the family who lost everything in the house fire on Thursday evening.

They are completely overwhelmed by your generosity.

They are sorting through all donations left at the Community Centre, McColls and 159 Maywood Ave now and wish to pass on their thanks.

Anything they cannot use they are donating to the free jumble sale we hold weekly at the Centre and to Help for the Homeless and Surviving the Streets.

They don’t need any more items donated for now, but will let us know if there is anything particular they need once they’ve sorted through everything.”

An appeal for money was also made and so far £4510 has been raised.
