LATEST Covid date from the county council does not make good reading for Eastbourne.
The information show daily confirmed cases by the date the test was taken up to 3 November 2020 (as at 4 November 2020).
There is a lag in reporting of confirmed cases, and so data in the most recent periods is likely to change.
The summary on Eastbourne says: “Eastbourne had a higher number of cases during the first wave.
Between mid-June and July there were higher numbers of cases than many other areas of the country followed by few cases in August.
There was an increase in September, following the national increase, that briefly declined and throughout October there has been a consistent increase so that now Eastbourne has the second highest weekly rate of cases in the county.”
