AN Eastbourne hotel has decided to close its doors again for Christmas due to Covid.
Simon Brown is General Manager of the very popular Langham Hotel.
He posted: “With great sadness, The Langham Hotel will now be closed on Wednesday 23rd December 2020 for 11 days, re-opening on Sunday 3rd January 2021.
This difficult decision follows the Government’s latest announcement regarding Tier 4 which has very sadly affected the vast majority of our guests staying with us on a residential package throughout Christmas and New Year.
Even though we are currently in Tier 2 it is just not feasible for us to remain open without our guests from Tier 4.
The virus is ‘on the move’ and Tier 4 is only a few miles up the road, we also do not know realistically how much longer we will be staying in Tier 2.
If you have a reservation during this time, please bear with us, a member of our team will be in touch soon.
Thank you all so much for your wonderful understanding and support during such challenging times. On behalf of Neil, Wendy and the whole Langham Team, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.”
