EASTBOURNE Liberal Democrats have been forced to apologise after falsely saying a medical centre would close.
Both council leader David Tutt and former MP Stephen Lloyd appear in the picture with the apology post from Upperton Liberal Democrats.
The LibDem apology says: “In our latest Focus, under the headline “Plans to shut Health Centre in Eastbourne Station”, we mistakenly stated that Grove Road Medical Centre was amongst those closing and moving to the new medical centre in Victoria Drive.
“This is not, and never has been, the case and we unreservedly apologise to the Medical Centre and its patients for any distress this error may have caused.”
