Caroline Ansell MP visited Oakwood Primary Academy School in Magnolla Drive, Eastbourne, to officially open its new school library.

During her visit, Caroline had a fantastic tour of the school and visited all of the classrooms before officially cutting the golden ribbon.

She was impressed to see the number of children who had read a million words this year.

The new library design has been very popular amongst all of the pupils.

In addition, the school has purchased hundreds of new books and the children are really enjoying finding new books from their favourite authors and exploring new genres too.

Photographed with Caroline are Max and Julia in Year 6.
