EASTBOURNE MP Caroline Ansell is concerned at plans to close the NHS Walk In Centre at Eastbourne Railway Station.

No final decision has been made but the proposal is to close it.

Caroline said: “The Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee have considered the future of the Walk In Centre at Eastbourne Station.

“Importantly the consultation is still live – with a final decision to follow.

“If you would like to have your say please complete the form linked here: https://www.eastsussexccg.nhs.uk/engagement/the-future-of-eastbourne-station-health-centre/

“I continue to have real concerns with the proposals and earlier this week I met with the Managers of the Centre and to hear further just how valued this service is to the people of Eastbourne.

“I am especially concerned about the lack of town centre GP provision for local residents as well as vulnerable groups and tourists who rely on this ‘walk in’ service.

“I am due to meet with the CCG at the end of the month and will be putting mine and your concerns directly to health bosses.

“Please do have your say.”

The consultation finishes on Monday.
