EASTBOURNE MP Caroline Ansell says The Kickstart Scheme is ‘great news’ for our town.

It is the new government scheme to create hundreds of thousands of high-quality, 6-month, work placements for young people aged 16-24.

Funding is available for every new, eligible job and will also cover the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus associated employer costs such as National Insurance contributions.

The Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce and Crossland and Dudson Training are collaborating to be Intermediaries for this new flagship Kickstart Scheme.

All of the details are on the Kickstart Eastbourne website: www.kickstarteastbourne.com

Caroline said: “Employers can simply upload job vacancies and Kickstart Eastbourne will help arrange the rest.

“There will also be training opportunities delivered by local companies such as HR Dept.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for young people and employers alike so please get in touch with Kickstart Eastbourne if you have any questions or have a job opportunity.

“Please share this so that we can get as many young people as possible into work.”
