TWO police officers have been accused of attacking a young girl under arrest in a police van.

They are alleged to have sprayed the youth an struck her in the head while she was handcuffed inside a police vehicle in Eastbourne.

Forty-six-year-old PC Deborah Sands and 35-year-old PC Kris Green are due to appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on Thursday December 10.

The charges relate to an incident in Eastbourne on Tuesday (May 19) when PC Sands and PC Green allegedly PAVA sprayed and struck a minor in the head when she was handcuffed inside a police vehicle after her arrest.
