Eastbourne Pride 2021 has launched a JustGiving page after ‘costs more than doubled due to the pandemic.’
It’s on August 7 and BourneOut LGBT group is the organiser.
This is their appeal: “The event is free, family friendly, and inclusive, so everyone is welcome.
We do understand that we have all had a difficult time this year financially, but our costs for the event have more than doubled because of the pandemic, and having to move the date.
We were determined to go ahead with this important community celebration though. If you can, please could you help us by making a donation, however small, it will help us to make it another fantastic, enjoyable day!”

The organisers add: “We are so delighted to have been given the go ahead to organise our Pride Party again this year. Despite all of the challenges we have encountered, including having to cancel the parade, and change the date, we are certain that this year’s event promises to be as exciting as previous ones.
The Party in Princes Park starts at 11am and finishes at 6.00pm. We have a wonderful range of acts performing throughout the day and we know that everyone is going to have a brilliant time. We are so all in need of a good party!!”
