THE date has been set for Eastbourne Pride 2021.
It will take place (Covid allowing) on July 17.
It was cancelled this year for obvious pandemic reasons.
Main organiser Betty Gallacher said: “2020 certainly has been a trying year for us all.
“We look into 2021 with all our amazing volunteers who have done so much for the community and the town this year.
“We would like to wish you all a very happy New Year and keep everything crossed for Pride 2021 on Saturday July 17th.”
Eastbourne Pride is a not-for-profit free event organised by BourneOutLGBT and supported by local individuals, businesses and organisations for the benefit of the community.
Betty launched it three years ago.
Betty is chair of Bourne Out, a group which supports the LGBT community locally.
She said, “We are there to provide support. We have a drop-in cafe open four days a week in Mark Lane, including weekends, and we want to make people aware of this.
“We want to break down even more barriers and also raise awareness of the work and support that we provide.”
