AN Eastbourne family’s bid to get their dad home after a freak tragic accident has received a tremendous boost.

Eastbourne builder Sean Foley has been left with life changing injuries after an accident on a trampoline earlier this year.

He broke his neck and severely damaged his spine on May 16.

Sean, 59, was rushed to the Brighton major trauma unit and spent time in the intensive care unit at the DGH before moving to Stoke Mandeville, where he remains.

Sean is in an electric wheelchair and while he can talk and move his upper body, he is trying to get movement back in his arms.

He is only receiving four hours of physiotherapy each week instead of two to four hours a day due to Covid.

Family and friends have launched a fundraising appeal to help pay for private physio sessions as well as adaptations to his home in Old Town.

The initial target was £10,000 and as of today it stands at £18.207.

Partner Daniella said Sean is really hoping to get home for Christmas.
