Eastbourne RNLI was called out today to ‘people cut off by an incoming tide.’
Thankfully, it turned out to be a false alarm:
“Our Volunteer Inshore Lifeboat crew launched the Inshore Lifeboat at 1234 this afternoon to reports of people cut off by an incoming tide.
Upon arrival at scene it was found to be a false alarm with good intent, a group of people were litter picking along the shoreline, after checking all was well the crew returned to the Inshore Lifeboat Station and got the boat ready to launch again before standing down.”
