EASTBOURNE RNLI Volunteer Crew was paged at 9.30pm on Friday evening to help the emergency services with a search.
They were requested to launch the Inshore Lifeboat and tasked to assist local Coastguards and Police with a search for a person reported missing.
No further details have been released.
