Eastbourne RNLI has been involved in the search for a missing swimmer.
Rescue crews have been scanning the coastline.
Dozens of emergency personnel including coastguard crews, as well as volunteers from Newhaven and Eastbourne RNLI, searched along the Seaford coast yesterday evening.
The swimmer went missing yesterday afternoon (August 31) and the coastguard first received a report at around 2.30pm.
The search has resumed this morning.
“We’re assisting with an ongoing search for a missing person,” said an RNLI spokesperson.
