IT’S back!
Eastbourne RNLI has welcomed back its Inshore Lifeboat D744 the Lawrence and Percy Hobbs.
It needed a refit following the capsize whilst trying to rescue a person cut off by the tide bellow Belle Tout Lighthouse.
It set up an online fundraising page saying it needed £5,450 and that figure was easily beaten.
Eastbourne RNLI said: “Once again we want to thank everybody who donated so generously to the RNLIs appeal and to Paul Mansers Go Fund Me page.
“In doing so it meant the Lifeboat was repaired and returned to Eastbourne where she belongs so swiftly.”
