EASTBOURNE is to receive more money to house rough sleepers.
Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell has made the announcement, and said it is welcome news.
She said: “The Housing Secretary announced £91.5 million for councils to provide interim accommodation and support for rough sleepers housed in emergency accommodation during the height of the pandemic.
“The money will be allocated to 274 councils in England to help vulnerable people housed during the pandemic and importantly, Eastbourne is one of those councils.
“It is set to receive a share of the £900,000 for East Sussex. “
