Eastbourne’s Covid rate continues to fall fast.

That’s the good news but Eastbourne is still the second most infected district in Sussex.

This is due due to rates falling faster elsewhere.

The figures are for the seven days to April 8.

Eastbourne:

rate of new cases in the seven days to April 8 was 16.4

number of new cases recorded in the seven days to April 8 was 17

rate of new cases in the seven days to April 1 was 29.9

number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to April 1 was 31.

This is a decrease of 45.2 per cent.
