Eastbourne’s Imperial Hotel has been sold.

It has been bought by Daish’s Holidays, who own the Claremont Hotel, destroyed by fire along Eastbourne seafront.

Daish says: “The Imperial Hotel is one of two new additions to the Daish’s family, along with the Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay. It is set just off the Grand Parade, giving it easy access to both the beach and the town centre.

The hotel occupies a beautiful building and is our largest hotel with 113 spacious and stylish bedrooms.

You’ll find a variety of facilities on offer including a comfortable lounge and bar featuring live entertainment and coffee shop – the perfect place to plan your days activities or to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tea.

Eastbourne town centre with its various shops, cafes and tours is just a short walk away.”

Eastbourne’s Grade II*-listed Claremont Hotel had to be demolished after the blaze on 22 November, 2019.

Hotel owner Daish’s Holidays said 130 guests and staff members had been in the building when the fire broke out.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service investigation found a small gas leak had ignited and then spread to the rest of the building.
