RESIDENTS have been debating the Easter Sunday Bandstand shambles.

There have been some really negative comments about what happened on Sunday Easter Sunday Bandstand row – ‘What an insult to the talented musicians who had given their time to entertain.’ – Bournefree Live – Latest news from Eastbourne, Polegate, Hailsham, Pevensey, Bexhill and Sussex.

And the debate has gone back to Sheikh Abid Gulzar, who offered to buy the Bandstand from EBC.

Here’s Eleanor Dudley: “He wanted to open it up take away the boards, put some shops and restaurants on there so it attracted people all year, just like the pier.

“He wanted it so people could walk round the top and stand and listen to the music , exactly like they used to do years ago

“He wanted it to be inclusive, only issue was he wanted the Bandstand for himself as a private business.”
