FOUR Eastbourne teenagers have completed a tough sponsored hike.
Ryan Goulding, Luca Bianchi, Jamie Edwards and Mathew Terry are all 17 and all from Eastbourne.
They have completed a 100 mile walk from Winchester to Eastbourne.
They said: “We’re doing it as a personal challenge and also to try and raise some money for a good cause.
“We are raising money in aid of Campaign Against Living Miserably and every donation will help, no matter how small.
“Thank you in advance for your contribution to this very important charity.
“Living Miserably (CALM) is q leading movement against suicide.
“Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives.
“And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this. Join the campaign to take a stand against suicide.”
Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell has praised them.
She said: “I’m always impressed when young people take it upon themselves to do something to help others.
“They’ve set a target of £2000 and stayed in tents overnight as they undertook the gruelling 100 mile walk.
“One of the boys told me they’d chosen this charity as one of them has lost a close family member to suicide recently.
“Please do support them by sharing this and donating if you can. Good luck and well done to Ryan Goulding, Luca Bianchi, Jamie Edwards and Matthew Terry.
“Conditions were tough but they did it!”
They have already raised more than £1300.
