At 3am on Tuesday, a fire started in a garden shed on Beachlands, Pevensey Bay and due to the high winds it quickly spread to two nearby homes.

Miya the Hero Husky woke her owner to alert him of the danger and his owner, his wife and occupants of both houses got out safely.

Miya and the community of Beachlands now needs your help in the awful aftermath of the fire.

Neighbours rushed to help and one suffered a non life-threatening injury.

Sadly, one home was completely gutted and another severely damaged.

Many thanks go to the Fire Brigade and other first responders for their efforts that night.

The two families, although safe, are obviously absolutely devastated. Years of memories and sentimental items have been lost for ever and the loss of their homes and the emotional shock is enormous.

The residents of Beachlands have already started to support the families in practical ways but there is an urgent need that will need immediate financial support to enable to help the families cope with the immediate situation and to start to rebuild their lives.

Imagine walking out of your home and never again having access to everything in it.

ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TO THE TWO FAMILIES.. PLEASE GIVE WHATEVER YOU CAN AS SOON AS YOU CAN TO HELP THE TWO FAMILIES.
