Here’s the online warning post: “Nocturnal back garden break-ins being experienced/attempted near Southfield, Polegate.
Nothing stolen, yet (!) – but some gardens trampled and gates definitely being tampered with. Could be dog theft related. Be warned.
Check/lock/secure your side-gates, sheds, garages etc. Keep your dogs safe at night indoors. Secure low access windows/patio doors, etc.
Don’t leave your dogs unattended in back gardens at night. Incidents already reported to Police.”
