LOCAL visitor destination Sharnfold Farm is holding a coffee morning today to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every year on the last Friday in September, the charity organises the famous World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Last year alone, it raised more than £27 million.
This year, Macmillan has relaunched the campaign as ‘Nothing Stops a Coffee Morning,’ and that is exactly the case at Sharnfold Farm on the Hailsham Road at Stone Cross.
Donna Bull from Sharnfold Farm said: “We look forward to welcoming groups of six who have already booked.
“It is very important to us all at Sharnfold that we are able to do our bit to help such a wonderful charity and a wonderful cause.
“The Rule of 6 has made it very difficult for some groups to organise their coffee mornings this year, but we are going to do our very best and raise as much money as possible.”
Each person is asked to donate £10 for the food and drink.
Every penny will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Donna said: “We are also very thankful to June Conti from Polegate who has kindly donated a cake. It will be raffled and the draw will take place at 4pm.”
