Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor to Host Dementia Support Event

Families across Eastbourne are invited to a special dementia support event at Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor on Thursday 16th July, offering practical advice and reassurance for anyone affected by dementia.

Hosted by Dementia Practitioner Mark Arrowsmith, the event is designed for anyone living with dementia, caring for someone who is, or seeking guidance on available support. It offers an informal opportunity to connect, share experiences and gain useful information in a welcoming environment.

Guests will hear expert insights, including a short informative video from Dr Isabelle Latham, Hallmark’s Researcher in Residence, followed by an open Q&A session with the team. Refreshments will be served, and attendees can tour the award-winning home to see how the environment has been designed to support people living with dementia.

One previous attendee reflected on the value of these sessions, saying: “I wish someone had shown me this video years ago and helped me navigate this journey then.”

Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor provides relationship-centred care, placing residents and their loved ones at the heart of everything they do. The home combines specialist dementia care with thoughtfully designed surroundings that promote comfort and independence, including landscaped gardens, welcoming communal spaces and a homely café.

The event takes place on Thursday 16th July at 10:30am and 2:00pm. Attendance is free, but booking is required.
