Hampden Park Scarecrow Trail of 2022 is a new community event supporting local causes.
The Scarecrow Trail will run from 1st – 10th May 2022 and all funds are in aid of the Mayor’s charities.
Here is the organiser Kim Hatcher-Davies: “The walk will be around Hampden Park, so if people want to take part they can make a Scarecrow and leave it outside their house or place of work.
If people want to make a Scarecrow and they are outside the Hampden Park area, they can make one and it can be put in the Heron Park School Field on Monday 2nd May between 10am and 1pm
We are also asking people to draw scarecrows to either have in their windows or bring them into Morrisons to be displayed in the store. ( bit like the NHS rainbow idea)
There will be Hay/straw available at Defiant Sports, kindly donated by Knockhatch.
The 2 charity shops in the village will be having ‘rag’ rails for people to get clothes for their Scarecrows.”
