Residents and businesses in Hampden Park have been busy creating handmade Scarecrows which formed a trail around the local area.
The Hampden Park Scarecrow Trail 2022 was the first of its kind in Eastbourne and was organised by The Polegate Scarecrows Community Fund who have been running these community competitions since 2018, with the support of Kim Davies at Morrisons.
The event was raising funds for three local charities – Holding Space, Community Wise and Amaze.
Nathan Dunbar, Head of the Events Team said, “It has been a real pleasure bringing this kind of event into Hampden Park and I very pleased with the huge amounts of efforts that participants put into their designs.”
The Best in Show Award was presented to Inglewood Nursing Home for their Afternoon Tea for Two entry which was made by both staff and residents bringing everyone together and that is what the Scarecrow competitions are all about!
