HAILSHAM Town Council is asking residents to be patient over the vaccine rollout.

Some people are anxious Hailsham has so far not been mentioned in any NHS plan.

Dawn Reilly posted: “This is very frustrating for the vulnerable within our community. Hailsham seems to be the forgotten town!”

Marj Turner posted: “perhaps if you were one of the clinically extremely vulnerable, you might be a little more understanding. I know a few people in this category who have heard nothing.”

Hailsham Town Council has responded to these concerns.

The council said: “While NHS East Sussex has commenced the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, please be aware that this will take time and medical staff are working as hard as they can.

“An extremely high number of enquiries are being received, so please be patient.”
