GLENN Whitnall was the man who sadly died on Saturday in Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, at about 12.47pm.

Now his family have made an appeal for donations towards his funeral.

The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man from Eastbourne, suffered serious injuries and sadly died at the scene near the entrance of the retail park, despite the efforts of the emergency services.

It was by the KFC and The Range.

Here is Billie Whitnall: “Sadly, my dad lost his life on the road recently.

He was a motorbike fanatic and had many adventures on two wheels.

We are looking for donations towards flowers for the funeral as we would like to get some in the shape of a motorbike and other motorbike related things.”

She later posted: “Wow, I can’t believe the response to this fundraiser. All I can say is Thankyou, my family and I are so grateful to you all.”

So far £1605 has been raised.
