A ‘homophobic’ thief has twice stolen Eastbourne Pride posters in the Town Centre this week.
Betty and Mandy – who are organising Eastbourne Pride on August 7 – are furious:
“Hello everyone – we have placed large waterproof A1 posters for Eastbourne Pride at the usual crossings at The Avenue, and other locations, on two occasions now.
We do this each year with the Council’s permission.
On both occasions they have all been removed.
We have checked with the Highways Department and they are not responsible for the removal.
Apart from anything these posters have cost us a significant amount of money.
This is clearly someone who is homophobic and we would be very grateful for any information that leads to us discovering who is doing this. Thank you.”
