A CHARITY hotel has been forced to throw away £1172.50 ‘down the drain’ due to being in Tier 4.
Chalk Farm Hotel – Learning Disabilities Centre – EAPAG is situated in Willingdon.
It posted: “Another day of throwing away out of date stock. The stock included what is pictured (the size of the bin is 50litres), another crate of bottles and 3 kegs of opened beer.
Total RRP – £1172.50 That’s £1172.50 that the charity has literally poured down the drain.
This is the third time we’ve done this this year. We know all business and charities are going through the same, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
Please, when all of this is over, support local. Whether that be shops, restaurants, charities. Thanks to all that have supported this year.”
