Hailsham Lions are holding their very last Family Fun Day on 18 July at the Recreation Ground, Western Road, Hailsham.
This was cancelled from last year when the Club celebrated its 50th birthday. So they’re celebrating this year albeit a little late.
Here’s Sharon Davis from the Lions: “After a successful run of several years, this will be our last event of this scale which is sponsored by Hailsham Town Council.
We’ve pulled out all the stops this year to ensure we go out on a high. To this end, we’re releasing the news this week that Jayne Torvill will be officially opening the event. Not only is she so well-known but Jayne is also an honorary member of the Lions and, when time permits, does quite a bit to support the Clubs across the south.
There’ll be loads happening on 18 July for the town to enjoy with stalls, fun fair, entertainment and attractions for all the family. And because all stalls are free, we’ve got a larger than usual uptake this year. And they’re still coming in – well, it is a big recreation ground to fill!”
