Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in Eastbourne on Monday night (1 February) 

The robbery took place in the victim’s stationary car on the junction of Wartling Road and Winchelsea Road, Eastbourne, at around 11.15pm .

The victim was resting in his car after going for a run in Princes Park, when a man got into his car and demanded all of his items, claiming he had a knife. The knife was not seen.  

The man made off with car keys, jacket and an IPhone 11. He is described as white, between 19 and 22 years old and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey beanie and a thin black waterproof jacket, and was accompanied by two women.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw the individuals described on Monday night. Those who have relevant CCTV or door-bell footage are also encouraged to get in touch.
