Lace up those boots, take a deep breath of that autumn air – and get strolling in support of hospices across the county.

That’s the invitation from the Friends of Sussex Hospices, who are inviting walkers – individuals and families, teams and strollers – to join in with the seventh annual Walk the Hospice Trail event.

The event takes place during the first weekend in October, giving supporters the chance to raise sponsorship to help raise vital funds for all our county’s hospices. Since its launch in 2017, the Hospice Trail event has raised more than £100,000!

Walkers can register on the Friends of Sussex Hospices’ website – to organise their own digitally guided stroll of any length, along any section of the 200 mile trail.

All 26 linear walks are easy to access on the free AllTrails app. Walks range from 3 to 13 miles and all start and finish at points of public transport. Walkers are urged, though, to check weekend schedules before setting off.

Those not able to take part in the Walk the Hospice Trail weekend are still encouraged to donate via the website, or to walk at any other time throughout the year.
