THE future of Little Bramley farm horse sanctuary is on a knife-edge.

The Horse Sanctuary in Polegate rescues and cares for abandoned and abused horses and ponies.

This was their emotional post yesterday: “Today was our last day at the yard and we still have no where to go.

We can’t lose Little Bramley. We are home to horses who have faced the most horrific situations before they came to us, we can’t let them down.

We have searched and searched for somewhere but nothing has come up.

We are desperate for somewhere to go, some help. This is our sanctuary not only for the horses but for all our volunteers. They need us.

Please share this post, we are desperate for help. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow as today is our last day at the yard. We desperately need somewhere for our horses.”

They were given notice to leave where they are because the lease was not renewed.

“We are desperately trying to find a long term solution to be able to keep up the work we provide to continue taking on horses and ponies that can either no longer be looked after or are no longer wanted. The animals here provide a lifeline to many people who cannot afford to own a horse, struggle with mental health or have disabilities which means they cannot keep there own.
So little Bramley really is on a knife edge. We also have been told that this is to do with planning and development. The way things stand we now have no where we really need Help please can someone help us carry on the work we do.
We at little Bramley have always had a walk in anytime and see what we do and encourage our work to be a community project proving a safe haven for adults and children.
Pat and Zoe(Founders) have put every penny they earnt into loving and rescuing our beautiful horses.Let’s say heartbroken is an understatement.
Please help us to continue helping the animals that desperately need it. We would like to continue to look after our current family and would not want to rehome where possible.”
