On 28th October at Bodle Street Green Village Hall, an amazing lunch was held in aid of the Starfish Project.
Starfish stands for Supportive Training And Recovery For Individual Stammerers Harmony.
It’s run by David and Anne Blight for Stammerers. Anne spoke of how the course works and of how proud they are of their Stammerers.
Matt was one of these Stammerers and we saw and heard from him of how his life had changed. How he can now enjoy making appointments and speaking out for himself.
We also saw a video of another young man who again had had his life turned around and is now engaged to be married. He thanked his fiancé, his family and the Starfish Project for helping him on his recovery.
Guests came from far and wide, meeting up with old friends and making new ones too.
Our Thanks go to Judith and Barry for organising it, for all the ladies in the kitchen who gave us a most enjoyable lunch, and off course to the speakers who were incredible..
Total raised was £1400…. which will be donated to the Starfish Project..
