Leading Sussex law firm Mayo Wynne Baxter is honoured to sponsor Eastbourne Pride this year as part of its commitment to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
The firm, which has offices across Sussex, including one in Eastbourne, said it wanted to support the LGBTQIA+ community both inside and outside the workplace.
Mayo Wynne Baxter’s equality and diversity partner Samantha Dickinson explained that LGBTQIA+ prejudice is still rife in many places and that the firm is committed to using its platform to oppose this prejudice and LGBTQIA+ discrimination in all its forms.
Samantha said: “At Mayo Wynne Baxter we believe that we are stronger together and that our differences make us stronger.
“We know that the more diverse perspectives we have in life, the more we are able to learn, grow and thrive.
“These words are easy to say but at Mayo Wynne Baxter we are about more than just words. We know that allyship is more than just saying the right thing – you need to do the right thing.”
Mayo Wynne Baxter is inviting all team members to attend Eastbourne Pride and the firm has also offered to pay for travel costs of any of its employees who wish to attend.
Eastbourne Pride will take place on Saturday 23 July 2022. The parade meets at Eastbourne Pier for 10am and sets off at 11am heading along the seafront towards Princes Park arriving around 12pm.
